About Dr. Lindsay Ronshagen
Digestive & Hormone Health Specialist
I’m Dr. Lindsay Ronshagen, a licensed Naturopathic Physician specializing in digestive and hormone health. Based in Branford, Connecticut, I work with patients locally and consult with clients throughout the United States and internationally via telehealth.
Many of my patients come to me after months or years of searching for answers. My goal is to understand what’s driving your symptoms, provide clarity, and help you move forward with confidence.
Clinical Expertise
After graduating from the National University of Natural Medicine, I advanced my clinical skills through a rigorous teaching residency at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine. Following residency, I continued to contribute as a clinic supervisor and professor of Endocrinology (the study of hormones), where I was instrumental in shaping curriculum and guiding future practitioners in evidence-based naturopathic treatments. These roles have equipped me with a unique blend of academic rigor and practical experience, enabling me to apply the latest scientific research directly to patient care
As the founder of Good Medicine Naturopathic Health Center in Branford, CT, I have spent over a decade specializing in addressing complex digestive and hormonal imbalances. Our center is committed to a root-cause approach, employing tailored strategies that seek to achieve long-lasting health improvements rather than transient symptom relief. Being trained in both conventional and natural therapies allows me to provide the best of both worlds, individualizing health care to fit your specific needs.

My Journey to Wellness and Empowerment
Confronting My Own Unexpected Health Challenges
My path to becoming a naturopathic doctor was as much a personal quest as it was academic. After two transformative years seeking spiritual growth in Southeast Asia and India, I returned to the United States to pursue my graduate studies at the National University of Natural Medicine. However, this new chapter came with unexpected challenges. Despite my excitement and readiness to help others, I was met with severe digestive issues that disrupted my daily life. No matter what I ate, I faced debilitating bloating and abdominal discomfort. It was clear something was profoundly wrong.
Finding My Calling in Digestive Health
This personal health crisis fueled my determination to dive deep into the complexities of the digestive system. My studies became more than academic; they were a mission to uncover the root cause of my ailments. My research led to a diagnosis of intestinal methanogen overgrowth (IMO), a severe dysbiosis stemming from opportunistic infections I had acquired abroad. This was a pivotal moment for me—not only did I have a name for the issues plaguing me, but I also gained firsthand experience of the interconnectedness of our body systems, including the impact on my hormones and nervous system.

My journey to recovery transformed my life and solidified my passion for naturopathic medicine.
